Analysis of packaging materials by Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR)

NMR polymer analysis of packaging materials includes –

• Polyesters – PET, PEN plus aliphatic acid polyesters:
  • Products include bottles, food trays and films providing structural information, comonomer levels and end group anaylsis.
• Polyolefines – HDPE, LDPE, LDPE:
  • Heat resistant food trays, bottle tops and cartons etc including composition, branching and sequencing of the polymer chain.
• Vinyl based materials – PVC, EVA:
  • Bottles, detergent containers and clothing bags compositional information and plasticiser levels.
