Oil and gas producing platforms need onsite technical and laboratory support. Some of the services offered by Intertek on a global basis include:

• Crude Oil Departing Meter Support:
  Processed crude is pipelined to a shore-based storage area. Testing procedures are identical to crude oil that is on tankers, barges and shore tanks.
• Gas Departing Meter Support:
  Natural Gas removed from crude oil is sold to gas pipeline companies. Testing includes gas analysis, extended hydrocarbon analysis and glycol testing.
• Oilfield Equipment Support:
  Oilfield equipment pumps, compressors, diesel and gas generators, cranes, etc. all have oil that require testing. Analysis of Lubricant oils, compressor oils and hydraulic oil testing are available through the Oil Condition Monitoring Laboratory network.
• Facility Engineer Support:
  Process samples are analyzed to optimize platform production, identify bottlenecks and other process issues.
