Formation and Produced Water Composition Analysis Services
Intertek laboratories provide oil and gas well formation and produced waters testing, helping clients understand the chemistry of reservoir formation water, produced water, and any potential impact on the environment.

Intertek produced and formation water analytical testing services include 10 ion compositional analysis service to determine tendency for scaling and corrosion and detailed trace metals analysis to establish degree of water toxicity before discharge into the environment. Toxicity evaluation services are also available on drill cuttings and drilling mud.

The produced water labs provide extensive testing for hydrocarbon content, including BTEX evaluations. Produced water naturally contains some oil and soluble oil products. Oil field additives and other naturally occuring substances and elements may be present in the produced waters.
