Intertek to Provide Laboratory Support Services to Eastman Gelatine Corp

(Houston, July 31 2007) Intertek Group plc (Intertek), a leading international provider of inspection, analytical, quality and safety services to a wide range of industries, announced that their Oil Chemical and Agri Division will provide analytical testing support services to Eastman Gelatine Corporation’s manufacturing facilities in Peabody, Massachusetts. Eastman Gelatine Corporation is a wholly owned subsidiary of Eastman Kodak Company. Intertek has acquired laboratory assets and accepted the transfer of Kodak employees currently performing these services.

Under the agreement, Intertek will be the exclusive provider of these services, and will operate a laboratory within Eastman Gelatine’s manufacturing site in Peabody. Six Eastman Gelatine employees who are currently providing these services are expected to transfer employment to Intertek.

Experienced personnel moving to Intertek employment ensures seamless continuation of the laboratory services and expertise provided to Eastman Gelatine. The lab, in turn, will benefit from access to the extensive resources and services available from the Intertek global laboratory network.
