Adiabatic Reactor Processing Pilot Plants

Adiabatic Pilot Plants

Independent Pilot Plant Process Facilities

Intertek PARC technical services provides pilot plant feedstock preparation and solvent extraction capabilities client studies. Intertek PARC pilot plant capabilities include two Adiabatic, commercial-type units including one four bed first reactor with interbed H2 quench, and a single bed second reactor. Over five liters of catalyst capacity can be achieved in each unit. Two Atmospheric towers, one pressure tower and two vacuum towers are included for product recovery.

Adiabatic Processing:
Adiabatic processes involve no exchange of heat with the surroundings. Pressure and volume of gases and fluids are compressed or expanded with no loss or gain of heat. In adiabatic refining processes, compression causes an increase in temperature and expansion a decrease in temperature. Go to the Intertek PARC Pilot Plants homepage to learn more about specific applications.

24/7 Pilot Plant Operations:
Around-the-clock unit operation and analytical control permit timely, cost-effective and accurate technology evaluations. The pilot plants employ up-to-date automation including on-stream analyzers, computer data logging and material balance documentation. Up-to-date continuous pilot plant facilities are available to handle petroleum refining process and catalyst evaluations from reforming and isomerization through resid hydrotreating and delayed coking. Intertek PARC welcomes the opportunity to handle customers' toll processing business. Clients easily access their project test data via the web with the RODA reporting system.
