Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS):

• ICP-MS (with Collision Cell):

  With the collision cell on the ICP-MS, the lab can analyze for trace elements in an organic matrix previously difficult or impossible to detect. Examples are silicon, phosphorous, iron and chromium. The elimination of sample preparation offers faster reporting times.

ICP-AES, AAS, XRF Trace Metal Analysis:

• The Lab analyzes a wide variety of sample types for trace metals (approx. 0.5 ppm). The Lab employs digestion methods: acid extraction, acid digestion, fluxing and microwave digestion. Software allows matrix compensation for XRF analysis. The Lab has analyzed brines for K and Mg, and has a method for lube oil additive packages.
